Paul Sutton has been developing his style for many years and is still evolving to produce contemporary works of art. Although he has his own style his flexible approach gives him the ability to work towards the client's vision.
Over the years His photographs have been published in magazines and newspapers, has been well received in both group and solo exhibitions and has taken on many assignments for advertising and for well known artists. Paul is a well known and established photographer throughout the Leicestershire area for his unique and creative work; Paul has found his place in photographic art for his original thinking and image making.
Portfolio // My freelance work has a contemporary / retro feel especially in my work with vdubs and fuel, in other areas such as portraiture I strive to create a unique style working closely along side the client to fulfil their brief. PEOPLE // I love to photograph people from all walks of life in their surroundings or in the studio and to capture the vision of the hurried labyrinth called life! At the moment Iam focusing all my energies on tattoos and body art Iam an artist who visualises what the camera documents.
DUBS // vdubs are very close to my heart and when photographing them I like to bring out their charm whether shiny restored vans, or the rustic unloved look with all its character, I still cant decide which is my favourite, the splitty or the bay ....I love them all ....hope you do too !!
FUEL // These images were taken in different locations throughout the uk.My favorite place to visit is Santa Pod where the atmosphere is electric and has inspired me to create some of my best digital art from these visits. The NSRA fun run at billing aquadrome was another fantastic day surrounded by rods, rats, customs and vdubs and to be fair the little moon eyes beetle was maybe my favourite car in the show !! yeah yeah I know it was a hotrod show but the vw’s just fit in so well, I guess it’s because the air cooled scene is very similar to the rodding culture . Peterborough hot rod show, what can I say…. not much ! wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, at £18 to get in and only a handful of cars I think it worked out at about 75p a car lol. alongside the custom show there was a modified car show on too, to be fair there were 1000′s of them, most filled to the brim with speakers ….. it was a bit like going to skeggy on a bank holiday.
Again another fantastic show at Stanford, this has to be one of the biggest in the country? one year I really must count all the buses n other vdubs in the showground and car parks , I think I may have to get up early !
it’s nice to have such a wide variety of show vehicle’s and tastes on display from rats to Concours standard vdubs, an awful lot of time and money has gone into each car van or bus. it’s a shame it’s only a one day event, I tend to rush a bit and either miss things or get stuck on a certain type of vdub or certain cars.
